This is a CD Transport as opposed to a standard CD player, meaning it does not have an onboard DAC. It is designed ideally to be used with either the PRE550 which has two CS4398 Cirrus Logic DACs or the IA350 which has one. The rear panel provides you with 5 different digital output options including I2S, AES, Coaxial, BNC and Optical . The front panel includes 4 YBA styled switches which control On/Standby, Stop/Play and Pause, Track forward or track back and finally a Sampling Rate selector. As with the Signature CD Player, this is a top loading device and operates in the same way. All Passion products have a display dimming feature on the remote control handset which allows you the option of several levels of brightness.

The newest power amplifier from YBA, Genesis A6 is elegant, simple in its design and simply superb when it comes to performance. Providing 150 W into 8 Ohms or 250 W into 4 Ohms, the amplifier has more than ample power. When matched with the the accompanying pre-amplifier it adequately answers the question about the quality of Bluetooth. You only have to listen!
With 5 RCA inputs - plus 1 balanced, this superb and extremely well reviewed integrated amplifier has a bypass feature on the video input. This means that the preamplifier section can be bypassed if for example you choose to connect a home theatre processor. In addition it also has a pre-out feature allowing for the connection of an active subwoofer, a separate power amplifier or perhaps a pair of powered speakers. With its distinctive uncluttered looks the on/off switch is located on the left hand underside of the amplifier and as with all YBA products, the display brightness can be adjusted from the remote control. With an unusual volume level readout we would also encourage you to read the article on Understanding 0dB - also available in the download area.
The very latest in Bluetooth technology is incorporated into this product - it is of the highest possible standard, supporting the aptX audio transfer protocol. The inclusion of Bluetooth sets the focus for the exciting Genesis range. Bluetooth is not all the PRE5 offers as there are in fact 8 different input options. Those options include AES/EBU, Optical, Coaxial, BNC, USB, and Bluetooth, together with 2 RCA and 1 Balanced analog input. There is also a selection of outputs with 2 RCA, 1 Balanced plus 1 digital. Using Bluetooth is very simple. Having connected the antenna(supplied) and selecting Bluetooth from the input menu, check to see that your device (phone/tablet etc.) has Bluetooth switched on. It will then find the product. You may have several Bluetooth options appear, simply select Genesis PRE 5 and it will immediately pair. That is all there is to it - go to your music menu and start enjoying the quality Genesis brings. If you prefer to use the USB option then a driver needs to be downloaded to your PC. That too is simple - a disc is included with the PRE5. The PRE5 incorporates three traditional YBA toggle switches, one for phase and two to control volume up or down. All information is displayed behind the black acrylic panel with a source indicator appearing on the left hand side and volume on the right.

Do you have a large number of music files on your computer? In order to cater for those whose home audio system is on the way to being an almost entirely digital proposition, the Design DAC is rapidly becoming the centrepiece of many systems. If you fall into this category, then you need to source a seriously good USB DAC to place between the computer and your hi-fi system so that you can translate these digital files to beautiful music. With its many features, YBAʼs Design WD202 DAC has a multitude of connection options to satisfy the most demanding users. A CD is supplied with your WD 202 with the necessary download but if this is misplaced the driver can be downloaded from this site. This supports up to Windows 8. When this is completed and you connect your WD202 the Windows ʽFound new hardwareʼ bubble will appear. The description of the WD 202 will be ʽUSB Audio Deviceʼ. After a few seconds you will receive a message ʽYour new hardware is installed and ready to useʼ. Your PCʼs previous audio output device should be temporarily disabled and the WD 202 will become the default audio device automatically. This can be checked in the Control Panel. Select Sounds and Audio Devices. In the volume tab check YBA Design WD 202. If you wish to disconnect your WD 202 and return to your sound card, simply disconnect or switch off the power on the front panel. If for some reason your PC fails to disable the WD 202, you can manually do this in the hardware device manager.
